Dr. Paul Fugazzotto, D.D.S.

Dr. Paul Fugazzotto received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from New York University in 1979, and his Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study from Boston University in 1981. Dr. Fugazzotto is a staff member of numerous hospitals. He is currently a visiting lecturer at Tufts University, Boston University, and The University of Ancona in Ancona, Italy.  He has over 20 years of experience with implant therapy, published extensively on the subject in a number of scientific journals, both nationally and internationally, and is also the director of the Greater Boston Dental Implant Center, at which he gives training courses in various aspects of implant therapy to dentists from around the world. 

Dr. Fugazzotto is a fellow of the International Team for Implantology (ITI). The ITI is an international group dedicated to expanding the applicability and predictability of implant therapy, through basic science and clinical research. Fellowship in the ITI is by election only. Dr. Fugazzotto was the first full time clinical periodontist in the Northeastern United States who has been elected to the ITI.

Dr. Scott Lightfoot, D.D.S., M.S.

Dr. Lightfoot completed his dental training (DDS) at The Ohio State University, College of Dentistry, where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery and a Certificate of Periodontology. He also holds a Masters Degree in Science and Arts. He is a clinical instructor at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and lectures locally and nationally, and is affiliated with the American Academy of Periodontology and the Academy of Osseointegration.

Dr. Fugazzotto and Dr. Lightfoot also have extensive experience with regenerative techniques to regrow lost bone for patients, both around remaining teeth, and in preparation for implant placement, and has also published numerous papers on this topic in both the national and international scientific community. Dr. Fugazzotto is also Editor in Chief of the journal Implant Realities.

In addition to being invited to speak at a number of the larger dental meetings worldwide, Drs. Fugazzotto and Lightfoot lecture extensively to select groups, both within the U.S. and abroad, on the topics of periodontal therapy, regrowing lost bone, esthetics and implant therapy.
